ABOUT PLACEMENT PORTAL

The PLACEMENT PORTAL is a comprehensive Online Management and Tracking System for the Management of the placement of Students and Graduates of the Tvet Colleges. The Placement Portal monitors and tracks every registered Student and Graduate placement to ensure no one is stranded.

Students and Graduates would have access via the Portal and the App to all available Placement and Training opportunities sourced by the Tvet Colleges. Students will also have access to SETA and other funding opportunities for training

EMPLOYERS

Employers can directly post Job Adverts on the Placement Portal and receive CVs of Students and Graduates. The Tvet Colleges Placement Administrators select the suitably qualified students and graduates who had met the criteria of the Advertised Post and share their CVs with Employer.

Employers can also download the Placement Android App to post Job Advertisements, monitor the recruitment progress, and engage with the Administrators

STUDENTS

STUDENT AND GRADUATE PLACEMENT PORTAL REGISTRATION

All Placement students and graduates must first register on the Placement Portal to obtain their Username and Password.

ABRIDGED CV

All Students and Graduates must complete the Abridged CV 100% using the Portal CV Builder. The Abridged CV is a summarized version of the detailed personal CV of the Student or Graduate. The Abridged CV is presented in an easy-to-read standard format to assist Employers in their decision-making process. The Abridged CVs are attached to all online applications for advertised posts.

PLACEMENT PORTAL ANDROID APP

Students and Graduates can perform all of the following functions via the App:

  • Apply for Job Adverts online
  • Monitor the progress of the job application
  • View Job Adverts posted on the Portal
  • Receive email alerts when Job Adverts are linked to their respective qualifications
  • Update their Profile
  • Update their CV
  • Receive Job Interview Alerts
  • Accept Job Offers

POSTING A JOB ADVERT ON THE PORTAL

There are 3 methods for an Employer to Post a Job Advert on the Portal:

  • Post the Advert on the Placement Portal
  • Post the Advert via the Placement Android App
  • Any staff or student can forward a LINK from the Portal to an Employer to post a Job Advert. The LINK would be emailed to the Employer to post the Job Advert on the Portal.
